Well, here are some possible reasons why you’re bleeding profusely
The problem with diabetes is that it can lead to excess production of estrogen. This leads to thickening of walls, which hampers the circulation of blood and heavy bleeding.
A malfunctioned thyroid is the biggest reason for bleeding heavily during your period. According to Dr Thamke, when you suffer from hypothyroidism, abnormal bleeding is often seen. Periods get delayed too!
PCOS or polycystic ovary syndrome is the result of hormonal imbalance. And the onus falls on an unhealthy lifestyle and inactive routine. But this can be tackled with a healthy diet and regular exercising for at least 30 minutes every day.
“If someone is taking hormonal pills, then that can also be a reason for abnormal bleeding. When you take hormonal pills, then it leads to thinning of blood, which increases the blood flow,” advises Dr Thamke.
Fibroids are characterised by benign growth inside the uterus, which impacts the blood flow.
This is another type of non-cancerous growth in the uterus that could be the reason.
This is one of the disorders, where there is growth outside the uterine cavity. This causes heavy menstrual bleeding, painful periods, and severe cramps.
This problem also leads to thickening of the uterus, which increases the pain and clot-led bleeding.
The bottom line is that these problems can be tackled easily, and yoga is one of the best solutions. There are many yoga poses that can help you manage heavy bleeding during menstruation.
Also, there are chances of getting anemia, therefore your diet should be taken care of. You need to add more iron-rich foods in your regular diet. You should consume spinach, raisins, apricot, seafood, beans, red meat, pork, poultry, etc. to ensure that hemoglobin levels stay intact in your body.
