Snacking is considered a sin, and we all know why! The moment the clock strikes four, our hunger pangs get the better of us. We just can’t help but reach out to everything unhealthy and fried, including chips, biscuits and those addictive namkeens. Oh, and how can we get over cheesy nachos? Honestly, no one can eat just one! But how do we binge on these foods without any guilt? After all, they are laden with calories, and really do no good for our health! 

What if we told you that there’s a solution? No kidding, trust celebrity nutritionist Pooja Makhija to always be there, in times of need. This time around, she has shared an Instagram post on how to make nachos healthy, and we can’t wait to dig in! Are you ready to know it all? Neither can we wait! Let’s go. 

Here’s what Pooja’s caption reads, “Balanced healthy snack that anyone will gobble guilt free, age no bar! Protein-rich, vitamin richer and fat enriched! Yummmminesss.” Well, it just goes on to prove that delicious foods can also be tasty!

Here’s all that you need:

Baked crackers/chips
Kidney beans
Boiled corn
Avocado or cherry tomatoes
Salsa
Cheese
Cilantro and chilli flakes

Method:

1. In a bowl, add baked crackers or chips of your choice. It’s always a good idea to go for the healthy varieties!
2. Add boiled kidney beans to it.
3. The next step is to add boiled corn.
4. Don’t forget to add avocado or cherry tomatoes.
5. Add lots of salsa, and top it off with cheese.
6. Mix it well, and dig in!

Switching to healthier alternatives is not as difficult as you think! Swap all the white foods for healthy grains, add protein, and make sure you don’t eliminate fat from your diet.
