Sabja seeds help in treating acidity, heartburn, controlling blood sugar and reducing body heat. They are rich in protein, essential fats, carbohydrates, fibre and are low in calories, making it a perfect combination for weight loss. 

So, those of you wanting to shed some kilos, look no further and learn how to use sabja seeds for weight loss: 

1. Essential fatty acids in sabja seeds promote weight loss

Sabja seeds are a good blend of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids which maintain good metabolism in the body. They also offer anti-inflammatory properties which help with managing obesity and aiding weight loss. 

2. High dietary fibre content increase fat-burning capacity

Being rich in dietary fibre, sabja seeds are indeed a good idea for weight loss. The fibre content keeps you full for longer durations, thereby preventing overeating and unnecessary cravings. Fibre also promotes fat loss by decreasing the absorption of fats and carbohydrates in the body.

Here’s how to consume sabja seeds for weight loss

As they are hard to chew, the most simple and effective way to consume them is to first soak the seeds in water. Sabja seeds absorb water and increase in size, which in turn increases the fibre content and releases digestive enzymes. Take two tablespoons of sabja seeds in one cup of warm water and let the seeds soak in for 15-20 minutes. Once the seeds have swollen, you may consume them as is. 

You could also add sabja seeds to your regular lemonade, sherbets, falooda and smoothies. 

So, though these seeds are a great aid to weight loss, only consuming them will not suffice to reduce fat. The most effective strategy would be to also maintain a proper diet and exercise regularly, along with deriving benefits from sabja seeds.
