 Ingredients

100 gm roasted kala chana

100 gm roasted peanuts

100 gm makhana (fox nuts)

500 gm puffed rice

50 gm almonds

50 gm cashews

5 – 10 curry leaves, dried 

Salt and chat masala to taste

1 tsp olive oil

Preparation

1. Heat the olive oil in a pan. Now add curry leaves, chana, peanuts, and makhana. Toss the ingredients together until they become crisp. Once done, keep aside and let cool.

2. In another pan, dry roast the almonds, cashews, and puffed rice. Once crisp, remove from the flame and let them cool down.

3. In a bowl, combine all the roasted ingredients and toss, until well combined.

4. Sprinkle some salt and chat masala on top, and toss again.

Et voila! You’re done! Your ghar ka healthy namkeen is ready to be served with a steaming cup of adrak chai. 

This low-calorie namkeen is perfect for those unwanted binge sessions as roasted chana will give you an instant dash of energy with proteins and minerals. Not to mention, it’ll also fill your tummy instantly. Puffed rice is again an interesting low-calorie option which can fill you up. Then there is the wondrous makhana which is rich in potassium and magnesium.
