Gluten is a type of protein that is naturally found in some grains including wheat, rye and barley. It helps to bind the food together and helps them to be stretchable. When we eat meals containing gluten, the undigested gluten can enter the stomach. While most people are able to tolerate undigested gluten, it can trigger a hypersensitivity response in some of them leading to various gut-induced inflammations and even auto-immune disorders including celiac diseases. Many foods we consume contain large amounts of gluten and so, we should know the symptoms of gluten allergy or intolerance.

Dr Manoj Kutteri, Medical Director and CEO, Atmantan Wellness Centre, designed this quiz especially for Health Shots to help you determine whether you have gluten sensitivity or not.
