Ever since the beginning of the pandemic, covid-19 has disrupted our life in every way possible. As a result, we are now living the ‘new normal’, whether we like it or not. But the good thing about the covid-19 pandemic is that it has once again made us realise that health is wealth.

And while you adapt to this new normal, you must also take the learnings that 2020 gave us forward. The most important one being: keep your immunity strong because in the end that’s what’s going to keep you safe from the virus.

So, here are 8 golden immunity-boosting tips that you must follow in 2021:

1. Add protein to your diet

Kavita Devgan, a nutrition expert with Tata Nutrikorner says: “The amino acids in protein help the body manufacture antibodies and can help protect you against a wide range of infections.”

2. Ginger and garlic can help

Make sure you include ginger and garlic in your diet. Garlic has antimicrobial and antibiotic properties. And according to a research by the University of Florida, it also has anti-inflammatory properties which may enhance immune cell function. On the other hand, ginger decreases inflammation and its antimicrobial properties keep the immune system strong.

4. Exercise is important too

5. Get a good night’s sleep

When your body is tired, its ability to fight pathogens is lower. So, make sure you are always well-rested. Moreover, when you sleep, your body’s T-cells get activated which help to fight foreign pathogens.
