Dr Ritu Sethi, a Gynaecologist and Obstetrician, director of The Aura Specialty Clinic in Gurugram, explains, “Menstrual cups are made of silicone. During the rainy season, the vagina remains unaffected by the weather. But moisture in pads and tampons can quickly lead to infection. Additionally, period panties take longer to dry in the rainy season, which is why it is not advisable to wear them during this time.”
