It’s time to combat the harsh summer months with home-made beauty remedies that will help you maintain healthy skin. Here are a few you can get started with right now:
1. Honey and orange juice for soft skin
Mix 1 teaspoon each of honey and orange juice with one egg white. Combine well and apply this mixture on the face.
Leave it on for 20 minutes and then wash it off. Suited for all skin types, it will make your skin soft and smooth.
2. Mixed fruit mask for natural summer glow
Mash fruits like banana, apple, papaya, and orange together until you get a pulpy paste. Apply this on cleansed skin and keep it on for 20 to 30 minutes. Wash off with water and see the magic of fruit acids.
3. Avocado masque for nourished skin
Mix 1 ripe avocado with 1 teaspoon olive oil and egg yolk. Apply it on the face and leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes. Wash it off with water. Avocado and olive oil moisturise and nourish the skin.
4. Cooling mask to beat the summer blues
Mix cucumber juice or pulp with 2 teaspoons of powdered milk and 1 egg white.
To make a smooth paste, you can also put the ingredients in a blender. Apply the mixture on your face and neck and wash off after half an hour. The result? Calm, clear, and glowing skin.
5. Lemon and mint treatment to tame oiliness
Combine 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of rose water. A
dd some crushed mint leaves and let the mixture sit for an hour. Strain the leaves and apply the liquid on the face. Wash it off after 20 minutes.
