Actress Rakul Preet Singh tests positive for covid-19

Even though we have been living with a pandemic for the last nine months, hearing that someone we know has tested positive for covid-19 never ceases to surprise. Even though, most of us easing into our old schedules again—especially celebrities who have started shooting for upcoming ventures—the risk of contracting the novel coronavirus remains high.

The latest celeb to test positive for covid-19 is actor Rakul Preet Singh. The actress who has been Ajay Devgn’s ‘MayDay’ on Tuesday revealed that she has tested positive for covid-19.

The actor took to Instagram to share a statement about her covid-19 diagnosis and also informed that she has quarantined herself.

“I’d like to inform everyone that I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have quarantined myself,” the statement read.

The 30-year-old actor also shared that she has been feeling fine and also urged anyone who came in her contact to get tested.

“I am feeling fine and will rest up well so that I can be back at shoot soon. Request everyone who met me to kindly get yourself tested. Thank you and Please stay safe,” the statement further read.

A few days before her diagnosis, Rakul Preet shared a post on Instagram doing the  bending tree pose, with clear blue seas in the backdrop. Rakul Preet joins a slew of other Bollywood actors who have been infected with the disease in the past, including Kriti Sanon, Malaika Arora, Amitabh Bachchan, Varun Dhawan, and Genelia D’Souza.
