An expert tells you how to clear your skin of acne and marks

Well, who doesn’t want clear skin? But, acne and pimples may pull down your look and affect your confidence and mood too. If you’re somebody whose search history is filled with queries like ‘how to treat acne and pimples’, you’re at the right place. Today, we have an entire all-natural skincare routine that will not only treat acne but give you a clear and bright complexion.

Health Shots spoke to Dr Blossom Kochhar, skincare expert and chairperson of Blossom Kochhar Group of Companies, who shared a skincare routine designed to treat acne and fight pimples.

Here’s the skincare routine you need to treat acne and get clear skin:

1. Cleanse

Instead of soap, use gram flour to wash your face. This is an excellent recipe to improve the clarity of the skin and treat acne. Follow this cleansing routine at least once or twice a week.

  • In a bowl, add equal quantities of green gram and bengal gram.
  • Mix it in milk or rice water.
  • Scrub the paste on your face and rinse with clear water.

2. Exfoliate

It is one of the major steps to reduce dead skin cells. Exfoliate your skin twice a week with this natural skin recipe.

  • Mix 1 tablespoon rice powder.
  • Add 1 teaspoon yogurt.
  • Add a pinch of salt.
  • Squeeze the lemon in a bowl.
  • Apply this mixture to your clean face and massage gently onto your skin.
  • Rinse your face with lukewarm water.

3. Moisturize

For moisturizing your acne prone skin, prepare this homemade moisturiser:

  • Take 1 tablespoon of milk cream.
  • Mix in a few drops of glycerin.
  • Add some drops of castor oil and rose water.
  • Mix well and apply over your entire face, neck, and hands before going to bed.
  • Leave it overnight.
  • Rinse with water and splash with cold water in the morning.

4. Facial for smooth texture

For an instant skin facial to treat acne, follow this procedure:

  • Beat an egg in the juice of one lemon.
  • Apply this mask to the face and neck.
  • After 30 minutes, rinse it off with clear water.
  • Use this mask at least once a week.

5. Face mask

To get clear skin and treat acne, this face mask should be your go to!

  • In a bowl, take 1/4 cup yogurt
  • Add 1 teaspoon of honey
  • Mix 1 tablespoon of milk powder in it,
  • Add 2 yeast tablets in powdered form.
  • Apply this mask and leave on for 10 minutes
  • Splash with cool water.
  • Do this once a week for the best results.
