During the summer season, the risk of heatstroke rises due to high temperatures and humidity in the atmosphere. In case, you are still exercising in summer, keep these 6 tips in mind for a safe workout.

Hydrate Properly

Drink plenty of water before, during, and after your workout to stay hydrated. Electrolyte-rich beverages such as coconut and cucumber-infused water can also replenish minerals lost through sweat.

If possible, avoid outdoor exercises in summer. But if you still want outdoor workouts, do it during cooler times of the day, such as early morning or late evening, to avoid peak heat hours.

Apply sunscreen with a high SPF to protect your skin from harmful UV rays, even on cloudy days. Also, don't forget to reapply it every two hours, especially if you're sweating heavily.
