Hot water can be harsh on your hair, leading to dryness and breakage. Use lukewarm water when washing your hair to maintain its natural moisture.
Use a mild, hydrating shampoo to prevent stripping your hair of essential oils. Also, shampoo your hair no more than two to three times a week, as excessive hair washing can cause dryness.
Make sure you condition your hair at least once a week. This helps to replenish moisture and strengthen your hair, reducing the chances of breakage.
Winter is the perfect time to give your hair a break from heat-styling tools. Excessive use of hair dryers and straighteners can damage your hair, making it more prone to breakage.

Ensure your diet is rich in vitamins, protein, iron, and essential fatty acids. Include foods like fruits, vegetables, nuts, and lean proteins to provide your hair with these essential nutrients.
Cold weather can make your hair more susceptible to breakage. Wear hairstyles that protect your hair from damage like braids, buns, or ponytails. They help prevent excessive exposure to dry air, reducing the chances of hair fall.
To reduce the impact of dry air on your hair, use a humidifier. This helps to maintain the moisture balance, not only benefiting your skin but also preventing your hair from becoming too dry.
Cold weather tends to dehydrate both your skin and hair. Make sure you stay well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water. This will help keep your scalp and hair moisturised from the inside out.
