Lupus can attack your bone and joint health. It increases the risk of inflammation in the joints, leading to stiffness, swelling, and pain. This pain can range from mild to severe and may affect multiple joints.

Joint Pain

One of the hallmark signs of lupus is the development of skin rashes, particularly the butterfly-shaped (Malar) rash across the cheeks and nose. Other types of rashes may appear on the arms, chest, and back in response to sun exposure.

Skin Rashes

Lupus headaches can be intense and debilitating, often mimicking migraines. These headaches may be accompanied by sensitivity to light and noise. You may also experience other neurological symptoms like memory loss or confusion.

Headache

If you have lupus, a low-grade fever is common. The fever may be off and on and you may get a fever with lupus due to symptoms like inflammation, infection, and flare-up in this disease.

Fever

Weakness and tiredness are prevalent symptoms of lupus. Despite getting adequate rest, people may still feel exhausted and drained. However, it can be treated.

Fatigue

Lupus can lead to hair thinning or hair loss problems, known as alopecia. This can bald spots or patches on your scalp. Unfortunately, certain medications for lupus treatment can also cause hair loss.

Hair Loss

Kidney damage is another most recognisable sign of lupus. It can lead to inflammation which increases the risk of kidney failure over time.

Kidney Inflammation

Lupus can affect the lungs and cause inflammation of the heart or its outer or inner linings, making breathing difficult. Due to this, you may experience sharp chest pain.
