Indians are overconsuming salt intake by at least 3 gram, says a new study published in the journal Nature Portfolio. Men were found to be consuming more salt than women.

3. Stay away from salty snacks

Baking soda, sauces, ketchup and processed cheese come with salt, and can silently increase your salt consumption.

The more fresh vegetables you eat, the lesser salt intake you will consume. Even when you eat salads, sprinkle lemon and pepper instead of salt for taste.
