Boobs are fascinating — they come in all shapes and sizes, and yet look gorgeous! Of course, just like every other part of your body, they deserve some extra love. Don’t we sometimes feel like slipping into the most pretty lingerie? Trust us, your twins love that (so do you!). But how about normalising self-care for boobs, ladies? We follow a dedicated skincare regime, or even slather on the most fragrant concoctions to give our bodies some TLC. Then, why should your boobs be left behind?
If you do not pay attention to them, they can end up looking dull, and the skin in that area might feel dry and flaky. We’re sure you don’t want that!
1. Sunscreen is key
“Most of the time, people believe that sunscreen is just meant for the face or hands. But the fact is if you wear a low-neck top, sports bra, or even a swimsuit, the UV rays will impact your chest area, and in turn, your boobs. Make sure you moisturise your boobs well and then put on your favourite sunscreen. This will not just provide protection to the skin, but will also minimise the impact of tanning,” says Pinaki Jain, a Gurgaon-based dermatologist.
2. Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate
Out of sheer laziness, most of us just remove our sweaty workout clothes, and change into new ones. Before doing that, exfoliate your boobs. Yes, you heard it right. It will help you remove dirt, sebum, and oil from the pores. Trust us, that squeaky clean feeling is amazing! Salicylic acid is a great exfoliator, so you can use a body wash with this ingredient.
3. Moisturise them well
“We don’t forget to moisturise our face, so why our boobs? Most of us don’t realise that our boobs have very sensitive skin, plus they are constantly subjected to temperature changes. To prevent them from sagging and feeling dry, make sure you slather on a good moisturiser, which is loaded with vitamin E. You could also look for a good serum,” adds Jain.
4. Dry brush them
We’ve often heard of the wonders of dry brushing for our hands and legs. Your boobs will benefit from this practice too! That’s because it helps to promote blood circulation in the chest area. When you dry brush your boobs, it will also drain the lymph fluid, and reduce swelling.
5. Give them cold water treatment
Sounds crazy, does it? But cold water will stimulate blood circulation in your boobs! It will also make your breasts more firm and perky. So, treat yourself to a nice shower, and your boobs will thank you!
So ladies, now you know what you MUST do to pamper your boobs. Do it for a while, and the results will show!
