When it comes to weight loss, there are several factors involved, most important of which are diet and workout. They both go hand in hand to help you achieve your desired shape. It’s difficult to pick one!

If nutrition helps in altering the body’s ability to shed weight quickly, exercise aids in building lean mass. That’s why it’s a combination of both diet and workout that helps individuals win the weight loss game.

It isn’t that one is better than the other — instead, look at both in the same light for optimal results. Cardio and strenuous training can help you lose weight, so can your nutritional habits, but workout and diet both when combined leads to more sustainable weight loss

It takes only a few minutes to consume hundreds of calories that then takes hours and days to burn. For instance, it takes days of conscious eating, and 30 minutes of strenuous walking to burn 140 calories that are consumed when you indulge in a sugary snack.

Speaking of diet, there are some common foods that miraculously help boost metabolism and you can burn more calories than you could burn with workout alone. What we put into our stomach really makes a difference, and the advantages of eating a healthy diet are as many as the benefits of exercise.

The diet versus exercise debate

When it comes to weight loss, it’s important to have a healthy diet. Obviously you need to limit calories in your diet to lose weight, but not all calories are equal, right? Sugar calories promote fat retention and starvation. Have you ever tried to satisfy your hunger with sweets, but then go hungry again and overat? Calories from healthy fats and proteins help you feel full for a longer span. People who are on a healthy diet often have eggs for breakfast. That’s because eggs are a complete protein, and help from keeping sugary and fatty foods out of life!

If you are looking to sustain your weight loss, then try to also include some physical activity every day. Take slow and steady steps — you can begin with a 10-minute walk and then gradually increase the time, or add many more exercises to your routine.

The final verdict

If I am asked to go with one of these two; I will definitely go with a balanced “diet”. No doubt that a good workout is necessary to get you in shape, but making changes to your diet will certainly lead to sustained weight loss

We mainly lose fat mainly through our nutritional habits. Workout helps us lose weight by building muscle. If you ever stop working out and eating mindlessly, then the graph against weight gain will reach its peak, way more quickly than before!

So, it is recommended to start your weight loss journey from within, make healthy dietary changes, go for healthy choices, and make it a lifestyle. And if you’re looking to get a curvaceous figure, then don’t forget to pack in some exercise!
