Are you someone who’s forever constipated, or struggles to know how to poop better every morning? If that’s the case, you are at the right place, because we have the perfect solution for you! In a recent Instagram post, celebrity nutritionist Dr Siddhant Bhargava has touched upon a very pertinent factor — what is it that we need to do to have the best poop? Well, it’s easier than you think!
Yes, this tip will help you in a big way! How can you get this fiber? Through carbohydrates, leafy vegetables, fresh fruits, nuts, and more. Stock up on these foods today and you will notice a difference over a period of time. If you continue to consume poor nutrient foods, you will suffer from constipation, and well, we already know what that feels like.
Contrary to popular perception, fat is good for your body, if you consume healthy sources. As per research, fat adds bulk and also supports the absorption of vitamin A, which further helps maintain the mucosal lining in the colon. Try and consume olive oil, avocado, eggs, nuts, seeds, and fish.
Dr Siddhant shares that every time you consume warm water or tea (or any other liquid) in the morning, there’s a reflex in your colon. Due to this, the colon has increased motility in response to the stretch of the stomach. That’s why you may have seen several people drinking tea in the morning, and rushing to the loo.
Well, this is no secret that drinking adequate water is good for you. In case you do not eat foods that have high water, you could end up being constipated. This doesn’t mean that you can only rely on water for good poop — pair it with healthy fat and fibre, and you will have the best poop of your life.
This may sound bizarre to you, but guess what? A squat stool really works, says Dr Siddhant. Put your legs atop the stool. When your legs are elevated, your colon and rectum form a certain posture that helps you with poop. So, if you have been struggling, you know what to do now!
Last but not the least, remember this golden rule: you must go and poop, when you have the urge. Don’t hold it, because it’s only going to cause more trouble!
