You don’t sit back and think about liver failure in your free time because most think that liver disease only affects older people. However, that’s not the case. Liver diseases can affect anyone at any point in time. In fact, liver disease is believed to be one of the most common diseases that affect people in India. The most common of these diseases is fatty liver disease, which is sometimes referred to as a “silent liver disease.” This is because it does not show any prominent symptoms.

However, there are some changes that may occur in your body that mean that your liver is not as healthy as you think.

Reasons why your liver health is important

Integrative nutritionist and health coach Neha Ranglani took to her Instagram account to share some symptoms that indicate that your liver is not in the best condition. She writes, “If you are facing any of these issues, it’s time you take your liver health seriously because it is one of the largest and most important organs in the body.”

Calling it the “gatekeeper” of the body, she further explains that this organ absorbs and filters everything you eat or drink. “The liver’s filtration process retains the nutrients that the body needs and disposes of the wastes, toxins, and excess substances that the body does not need or could harm the body,” reads the caption.
