Survived another stressful day? Well, coronavirus has changed our lifestyle and the new normal is all about planning life according to the pandemic. India currently going through a second wave. It hasn’t just taken a toll on our healthcare system but also on our mental health. Hence, the second wave of coronavirus has affected all aspects of life.

One aspect of life which has been greatly affected is the work-life balance. Even in uncertain moments, however, there are things we can do to ensure that we continue to be mentally and physically fit.

2. Stick to a healthy diet

Eating well and paying attention to your nutritional intake is a basic rule of self-care. When you feel low, stressed out, anxious, or tired, fuel your body by eating a well-balanced diet and drinking plenty of water to improve physical and psychological health.

3. Try chilling out with music

Yes, just sit quietly for a few minutes and listen to your favourite playlist. Playing calming music helps to stimulate feelings of relaxation. Music therapy employs music to help people cope with physical and emotional needs.

4. Prioritise your sleep

Adequate sleep ensures good health. Sometimes, hectic days and anxiety due to the pandemic can raise stress levels which can cause the inability to sleep peacefully. But, your body needs 7 to 8 hours of sleep every day. It helps to refresh your mind and energize your body to work efficiently.

5. Take a break from work and relax

Whenever you’re really stressed out due to work, it can affect your personal life as well. So, whenever you think you need a break, don’t hesitate to ask for a leave. A break from your regular schedule can help you to reduce your stress, restoring your physical and mental well-being.

6. Connect with your family and friends

Use social media and other virtual tools to talk to your family and friends about things like sports, science, the universe, and anything besides Covid-19. This is an activity that can help boost positivity.
