Kriti Sanon, the bubbly actress who stole our hearts with her performance in Dilwale and Bareilly ki Barfi, has reportedly tested positive for coronavirus. She was recently shooting for her upcoming movie in Chandigarh with Rajkumar Rao and returned home only a few days back. There’s been no official statement from her side but the reports have come from a close source.

It’s been almost a year since the world was introduced to this novel virus and it has already affected millions of people. Many have lost their lives to it as well. The data is heartbreaking but people have continued behaving in an ignorant way. This has resulted in many countries facing a second wave which is proving to be deadlier than the first one. Yet, many people are not even practising basic precautions like wearing masks or observing a 6-feet distance in public spaces.

The virus, as it turns out, doesn’t discriminate and has affected people of all age groups. In fact, it has affected some of our beloved actors as well. Here are 5 Bollywood stars that have tested positive for it:

Famous for his role in Yaariyan, Himash Kohli was tested for coronavirus after his family’s results came out positive. He tested negative initially, but was tested again after experiencing some symptoms of the deadly virus. The second result came out to be positive and he shared the news on his Instagram account.

No matter how old you are or who you are, coronavirus can affect you if you’re not taking enough precautions. Hence, it is important to stay protected from it.

Recently, the US-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended 6 steps to fight the virus.

By now, you probably already know that wearing face masks, using sanitisers and practising social distancing can help you stay away from coronavirus. Apart from these three things, keep the following recommendations in mind:

1. Try to avoid non-essential indoor spaces as much as you can.
2. Quarantining and testing close contacts of persons who have tested positive for coronavirus.
3. Taking extra care of safety measures for those who have comorbidities
4. Supplying essential workers with adequate personal protective equipment.
5. Postponing travel plans.
6. Keep your indoor space as ventilated as possible.

So, now you know that coronavirus is very real and dangerous. Observing precautions is the only way to save yourself from it. Like they say, better safe than sorry!
