We’re currently experiencing the second wave of coronavirus and hence, need to be even more aware of not only the precautions, but also how to manage the disease. In fact, most people who have mild symptoms are strongly advised to take care of themselves at home, until they test negative. Keeping this in mind, celebrity fitness trainer Yasmin Karachiwala took to Instagram to share tips on how to manage the illness at home.
Yasmin is a fitness expert, who works with celebrities like Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone. She was earlier diagnosed with covid-19, but has now recovered. She recently posted a reel on Instagram to help her audience understand a few things that helped her deal with the novel virus. In the caption, she wrote, “I would like to share with you six things that really helped me when I had Covid.”
Before we tell you what the ace fitness trainer recommends, we’d like to draw your attention to the disclaimer she has written:
“As well-meaning as family and friends may be, especially who have recovered from covid, their treatment might not be for you!”
Yasmin revealed six strategies that helped her manage the condition:
In the video, you can see Yasmin using a steamer. You can invest in one too! We recommend avoiding taking steam directly from a cauldron, because it can cause burns and injuries.
The vitamin is known to help build immunity, which is much-needed when you’re fighting coronavirus.
The anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties of this mineral can go a long way in helping you regain strength, especially when you’re down with covid-19.
One of the prime symptoms of the novel virus is a sudden drop in oxygen levels. Hence, it is advised that you keep a check on your oxygen levels using an oximeter.

Before you do any of the five things mentioned above, make sure you speak with a doctor and discuss all the symptoms.
Yasmin, too, lays the most emphasis on the sixth tip. According to her, one should definitely avoid self-medication. She recommends keeping in regular touch with a trusted doctor, who can provide you with medical guidance, specific to your case. We second her on this because in such a situation, consuming medicines on your own without any medical advice may actually cause more harm. That’s something you want to avoid at all costs!
