There are many health issues that we feel embarrassed or ashamed to talk about or some that we don’t like to talk about. It’s because we think other people can judge us. Are you also suffering from any kind of issues that make you feel embarrassed about it? Do you avoid talking about your problem? Yes, there are many health problems that can be uncomfortable to address but it is necessary to address them because they can point to more serious underlying health conditions that you need to look out for.

Here we are revealing 8 health related issues that you should never, ever ignore:
1. Painful urination

Almost all of us must have experienced painful urination at some point in our lives. But ladies, it is not normal to experience a burning sensation during urination. You need to be especially concerned if you have been facing this problem for a long time. In fact, painful urination can be a sign of urinary infection, sexually transmitted infections (STI), yeast infection, cystitis, vagina atrophy, etc. Therefore, whenever you counter painful urination, check with your doctor.

2. Excessive sweating

Sure, sweating is good for the body… after all it does help you detox. But abnormally excessive sweating shouldn’t be ignored. The most common cause of excessive sweating is called primary focal hyperhidrosis. Although hyperhidrosis doesn’t cause illness, it can pose problems in your social life and relationships and perhaps even to your emotional health. And that’s why it must be discussed with your healthcare provider.

3. Low or no libido

There are times when low libido makes it hard to get in the mood for sex. Truth be told, there are multiple reasons that can cause this. And it may be time for you to go for a proper check up.

According to Dr Sudeshna Ray, consultant obstetrics and gynaecologist at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai, arthritis, diabetes, depression, cancer, multiple sclerosis (a chronic disease that affects your brain), PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), and heart diseases are the major causes behind your reduced sex drive. While a shift in hormones can also lead to a drop in sex drive.

4. Excessive hair growth

If you have excessive hair growth on your body, face, or elsewhere it can be extremely embarrassing. This condition is known as hirsutism which could be a sign of PCOS—Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome that is caused when ovaries produce an abnormal amount of androgen, male sex hormones. Hence, diagnosis by medical professionals is key.

5. Spotting between periods

With extremely heavy flow, severe pain, or missed periods, bleeding in between periods is also a condition when you need to seek medical help for your periods. Often called intermenstrual bleeding, spotting, metrorrhagia, and abnormal bleeding can point to some serious medical conditions. It is important to get yourself checked at the earliest.

6. Anal itching

Stop hiding the problem and visit your doctor because anal itching could possibly be a sign of various health issues such as yeast infection, hemorrhoids, and intestinal parasites like pinworms. You must inform your doctor.

7. Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids, although uncomfortable and embarrassing to talk about, are very common. Hemorrhoids are swollen veins in your lower rectum. Internal hemorrhoids are usually painless, but tend to bleed. External hemorrhoids may cause pain. Hemorrhoids, also called piles, are swollen veins in your anus and lower rectum, similar to varicose veins. Hemorrhoid is a treatable disease by medical professionals.

8. Changes in nipple

Some common, early warning signs of breast cancer include skin changes, such as swelling, redness, or other visible difference in one or both breasts. An increase in size or change in the shape of the breast, changes in the appearance of one or both nipples, inverted nipples, nipple discharge can all indicate breast cancer, according to the National Cancer Institute.
