It is also advised to avoid processed meat as it has been medically proven that women who regularly consume it are 40 per cent more likely to suffer from ovulatory dysfunction which can cause you to ovulate less frequently.
When planning to conceive, it is advised to lean towards vegetable sources of protein rather than animal protein.
There are certain medications that you take routinely which can interfere with your fertility drugs or cause hormonal imbalances. It is best to inform your doctor beforehand of any medicines that you take, these could include over-the-counter medicines or even certain anti-allergy pills. Even fumes arising from paint, pesticides, and household cleaning substances can disturb fertility. Staying away from harmful substances is advised not just when you are undergoing an IVF procedure but also when you are pregnant, especially during your first trimester as it can increase the risk of a miscarriage.
