Remember that Koffee With Karan episode which Kareena Kapoor Khan filmed while she was pregnant with Taimur? People noticed that she had gained a considerable amount of pregnancy weight and some even trolled her for it.
Now, Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to become a mother for the second time! This time around people can’t help but notice how fit she looks. She doesn’t seem to have gained as much weight either. Turns out, there’s a reason behind this change.
In her recent interview with Mid-Day, Kareen Kapoor Khan revealed everything she has learned from her first pregnancy. For her second pregnancy, she has consciously decided to not fall for famous myths.
In her interview, Kareena said that she, “believed the myth that an expecting mother should eat for two”. This time around, however, she is focused on “the right amount of nutrition through grains and vegetables.”
There’s no doubt that there are multiple ways of maintaining one’s fitness during pregnancy. Yoga and some simple exercises are always recommended and it seems like Mrs. Khan has included light physical activity in her daily routine.
“I am blessed to have friends like Amrita and Malaika who constantly motivate me to stay fit. Amrita is extremely conscious of her health and works hard to stay fit. This is great because we keep each other driven, and egg one another on to follow the routine together. We have our group workout sessions often, and that is fun,” said Kareena Kapoor Khan.
The actress also mentioned that she is keeping her meals very simple but doesn’t shy away from indulging in pasta and caramel custard once a while.
“Unfortunately, in my house, there is nothing filmy as such. Saif is very normal and relaxed. Of course, he is always happy to hear it. As I said, it wasn’t planned but it was something we really wanted to celebrate and we are really enjoying it together,” she said while signing off.
