Since the pandemic hit all of us in the early months of 2020, life has become uncertain and gloomy, to say the least. The entire year just flew by in a jiffy, but once again, ’tis the time of the year, which is all about fun and festivity, and we need to do something about it!

While we know that this year is different, and many of you might not be as comfortable to take your family out for a vacation, it doesn’t mean that this season can’t be merry! You can do these 7 activities with your parents, and have the time of your life.

1. Go for a picnic

A picnic might sound boring in the beginning, but it helps a family spend time together and bond with each other. So, take your parents out for a picnic, just how they would take you, when you were a child. The best part? If you don’t want to go far, you can go to the neighbourhood park or even your backyard! Take munchies that they like, and spend some quality time with them in fresh air!

2. Try cooking or baking

If you and your parents love cooking, then it must be a part of this list! Cooking or baking has to be one of the most interesting indoor activities that you can do! It not only excites everyone, but the end result is awesome as well, right?

3. Gaze at the stars

Plan a date night with your parents, take them to the terrace or the lawn, and watch the stars on a clear night. You might remember doing this activity when you were a child, but in this age of the internet, we rarely do these things. Stargazing is not just relaxing, but it also takes you on a journey of sheer amazement! And the bonus is, you’ll always get a little fresh air before bedtime!

4. Tie and dye party

Tie and dye has been trending for a few months now, and almost everyone has tried this out during this quarantine, so why shouldn’t you? It is actually a fun activity to do with your parents, where you not only play with colours, but at the same time, create something beautiful and useful.

5. Play cards and board games

Haven’t we all started playing cards and board games during this lockdown? We hear a big YES! And we all have to agree that it is a fun way to bond and spend time with your family. It is also a great way to keep the mind sharp and involved.
