Anxiety, fear and depression – we were not born with these emotions but acquired them from our surroundings. A child knows only happiness, joy and fun and is brimming with confidence and daring. However, sometimes during the process of growing up, we pick up patterns like anger, helplessness, guilt, low self-esteem, lack of confidence and self-doubt from our parents, grandparents, neighbours, relatives, and friends. To treat anxiety, and depressive feelings we often don’t take professional help but resort to unhealthy ways like emotional eating and self-harm.

All the memories we have lived, the taste of every food ever eaten, every place visited, every language learnt, is all stored in our mind. Even every incident of trauma, abuse, guilt, loss of loved one, ridicule, experience of failure, rejection – memories that are now faded, but the pain and the hurt continue to impact our experience of life in the now.

Why anxiety fear and depression impact us and our experience of life?

Whenever faced with challenges, tough situations or difficult people, even though our mind may not recall the memory of past hurts, the trapped negative emotions and the experience surfaces. And every time these emotions are triggered, they bring forth anxiety and fear, which over time, leads to depression.

Most of us have built a strong muscle of worry, anxiety, stress and fear which has become like an addiction – the way a drinking addict needs alcohol, a stress addict will find things to be anxious and stressful about. Even if the stressful issue is addressed, a person will find something else to be anxious about.
And thus, even when we don’t actually want to, we end up taking stress, worrying and suffer from bouts of anxiety.

How does hypnosis help to treat anxiety, fear and depression?

Hypnosis is a beautiful, safe and simple process which allows the therapist access to the deepest parts of the subconscious mind where all the memories and emotions are stored. A good hypnotherapist can easily release those unprocessed pains, trauma, abuse that are unconsciously impacting our body, experience of life and our patterns.

In addition to effectively dealing with fear and depression, Hypnotherapy is very effective to treat anxiety, substance abuse, addictions, habits and behaviour traits. It also helps address issues like obesity, blood pressure, sugar, arthritis pains, thyroid and back aches.

Is hypnosis safe?

It is one of the most non-intrusive and non-invasive forms of healing which does not have any adverse impact, needs no medication, and one that has most effective results.

How does hypnosis work?

A healthy mind leads to a healthy body. Hypnosis is an effective way to heal the mind. In hypnosis, the therapist induces a trance-like state that helps the client to respond more readily to suggestions, and become deeply relaxed. In this heightened state of awareness, it is easy to access repressed memories and release the trauma of the past. Much to the contrary thought process, the client is always aware of what is going on and is participating in the release of these blocked emotions.
