On the surface, it seems as though working from home has made life simpler and convenient. After all, we are now working at our own pace without bosses hovering our heads. However, this work from home sitch also has us overworked and overwhelmed with pressure mounting during these uncertain times. 

So if you feel exhausted all the time these days, then perhaps you’ve got more on your plate than you can handle. But the problem is that most of us don’t even realize that we need a break until it is too late. 

Not to mention, taking a break comes with the connotation that we are running away from responsibilities—but that’s not the case. Taking a break every now and then is essential for a healthy mind and body. 

So we’ve listed down seven alarming signs that indicate you have reached your breaking point and need to take a break.

1. You’re making careless mistakes
If you have been making silly mistakes over and over again, then this is a sign that you are overworked or even burnt out. Taking a pause at this moment is key to rejuvenate your mind and body.

2. You resent your co-workers
If you are someone who’s constantly complaining about the people around you, the work, and the work culture then this could be because you are burnt out and have started seeing everything from a negative lens.

Pushing yourself to an extent where your body and mind give up is alarming. Your body has its limits and you respect that. 5. You find it difficult to focus
If you are often inattentive during meetings and your mind wanders off even during important tasks, then congratulations you have focus issues. Naturally, this will decrease your productivity, increasing your work hours, and making you even more tired. Taking some time off can help you find your focus again and be more productive.

6. Your whole body hurts like hell
Starting from your head, eyes, and neck to even your legs—if your whole body aches eternally, then your body is in a dire need of a break. Your mind and body are not designed to handle prolonged physical and mental stress, so giving it a breather becomes essential.

7. Your face has become dull
Do you look like a character from a zombie film? Dull face and eye bags larger than your pending work? If yes, then my lady you need a break. Don’t let the work take away your glow. Take a break for the sake of your skin, if nothing else.
