How to do this pose
Wearing a blue tank top, with the words ‘Cardio Obsessed’ written on it along with printed training tights, Shilpa starts the asana by sitting cross legged, with her back straight. She folds her hands right in front of her torso and she then extends her arms overhead, maintaining the folded hands position. Next, Shilpa cups her left hand to her left knee, with her elbow slightly bent. She then extended her right arm up and overhead and leaned to the left side. Holding the pose for a few seconds, she then switched sides and repeated the asana.
Shilpa pointed out the mental and physical benefits of this asana and said, “it helps relieve the pent up stress and anxiety that gradually affects the immune system & one’s overall health. Physically, it helps stretch the neck, shoulders, obliques, and back.”
This pose is widely regarded as a major stress reliever and relieves joint and muscular pain.
Shilpa also suggested to her fans that they should take some time off whenever they can, and practice this asana, letting the mind & body just go with the flow.
“A calm and composed mind & body can deal with a lot more than we can think of,” said Shilpa towards the end of her post and urged her followers to tag a friend who should do this pose right away.
