1. Meditate

We all have different ways in which we think of happiness. While some believe it as a state of mind that enables us to tap into the right resources, others just think of it as a sense of contentment, fulfillment, and satisfaction in life. Meditation can help you reach that state of mind because when you try to connect with that feeling, you will experience more happiness. While meditation is an ingredient of it, one must also nurture other forms of it, like kindness, empathy, and inner balance. So, once you reconnect with a happy state of mind, you will automatically step away from negative internal dialogue.

2. Move

You’ve probably heard that exercising increases the levels of endorphins, or happy hormones, in the body. However, it is not only that. Moving your body or indulging in any form of exercise can release many more brain chemicals that make you feel happy, confident, capable, less anxious and even lead to less physical pain. People who exercise and move their bodies regularly are known to be better at fighting depression too. So do not feel lazy and just move your body!

3. Monitor

Always keep a tab on what makes you and your body happy and healthy. Keep your body vitals in check and if you are physically fit, there is no way that you can be stopped in bringing out the best in you.

4. Meal

While we all commonly think that healthy eating is primarily a tool for weight loss, we tend to forget that a balanced diet high in fruits and vegetables, is required for optimal well-being. Once you have that, in addition to lean protein, low-fat dairy and whole grains, you will feel less stressed and have more energy to do things that you like, automatically making you feel both happy and healthy.

5. Masti

While moving your body is required for physical happiness, make sure to do something you enjoy every day. Even if it’s something as simple as listening to your favourite song, to get that emotional pump, do it! Connect with people who radiate positivity, maintain a compassionate and lively mindset, indulge in your hobbies, and have a good sleep. All these things along with having fun in little things of life are extremely important for your well-being.
