How often do you lose your cool? And do you regret soon after? Well, if that’s the case, you are a victim of your own anger, and it’s time to take charge now. Sometimes, we all get carried away, but if this happens too often, then we’ve got you some great tips to cool down in no time, and feel better. All set to find out?

1. Do a countdown

We’ve all heard of this amazing tip, and trust us, it works really well. Counting down from 1 to 10 or backwards shifts your focus to something else, and by the time your countdown is over, your anger will likely subside and you’ll feel more relaxed. If you are really mad, you can count even beyond 10!

2. Take deep breaths

It might sound stupid, but deep breathing really helps. When you’re in an angry state, your breaths get shallow and fast. So, to calm down, take a few deep breaths slowly, and exhale. Focusing on your breathing can help you feel relaxed and calm in no time.

3. Go for a walk

Feeling angry? How about going for a walk? When you’re engaging in any kind of physical activity, your limbs get pumped up, and that can help calm your nerves and reduce anger. Moreover, it will give you time to self-introspect, and that’s always a good idea!

4. Chant a mantra

Repeating a mantra can help you calm down and re-focus. Repeating the same words such as ‘calm down’ or ‘take it easy’ several times will divert attention from your anger, and make you feel way more calm.
