1. Awareness is the key

“Take stock of yourself and your life. Build an understanding of what is making you feel stuck and what about yourself and situations may be contributing to the same,” says the expert.

If you are equipped with a deeper understanding of yourself, you will be able to better manage your triggers, fears, negative emotions or feelings. Only with self- awareness, can you start finding the applicable and relevant solutions that can help you in reinventing yourself.

2. Give yourself the time and space to grow

Give yourself ample time to determine areas of yourself and your life where you need to bring about some changes. Whether it’s a poor lifestyle, negative self-talk or clinging to limiting beliefs, give yourself enough time to understand who you really are and where can changes be incorporated.

3. Take inputs from people who matter

Sometimes, people who love you and stay in proximity with you know and understand you better. The expert advises you to take inputs from people who matter- friends, family, mentors, advisors- who you know have been invested in you and your growth.

4. Always start small to bring about big changes

The expert says, “Start with small changes to make bigger and better shifts in your life. Small steps can ensure you stick with them in the longer run. If you try to do too many things, it is possible that the changes may not sustain for long and you keep feeling overwhelmed”.

It is always natural to feel intimated by drastic shifts in your life. To reach your goal, you always have to start small. Like, instead of waking up at 6 a.m., you can start by waking up half an hour early each day. This way you are making your body get accustomed to bringing about changes.

5. Be patient with yourself and celebrate the small wins

“While trying to change and improve, don’t lose sight of things that are good, great, and wonderful about you. Hold on to these even as you feel you need to change or reinvent who you are,” says the expert.
