2. Consume fiber

One should eat fiber-rich foods, which lowers your bad cholesterol. That further protects your heart and helps keep gallstones at bay. Fiber flushes bile from your body. Include barley, lentils, berries, broccoli, avocados, apples, and whole grains.

3. Maintain healthy weight

Being overweight or obese can lead to gallstones. Being obese makes one fall prey to gallstone disease. Try to stay in top shape by maintaining optimum weight and staying stress-free. Fresh fruits and veggies also are high in water and fiber, which can help one to stay full. A high intake of vegetable protein lowers the risk of gallbladder disease.

4. Avoid fried food

Fried foods consist of saturated fat, which raises cholesterol in the blood. So, give up on them. Even eating processed and spicy foods is a strict no-no as it can take a toll on your overall well-being. Limit eating baked goods, artificial flavors and sweeteners, candy, and chocolate.

5. Drink water

Staying hydrated is key. Water keeps bile from building up. This protects against gallstones. According to research, people who drink more water eat fewer calories and less sugar.

6. Exercise

It is essential to exercise daily. Did you know that regular physical activity can help you to stay hale and hearty. It allows you to burn calories, boosts mood, and protects the gallbladder. You can do any activity of your choice like swimming, walking, cycling, or yoga. Workout for at least 5 days a week.
