1. Focus on your abilities

Make sure to always focus on what your strengths are, and reinforce them in your own mind by giving yourself reminders about them.

2. Believe in yourself always

Most confident people have a strong value system that they believe in and eventually, make their decisions based on that. Be the best version of yourself in order to be what you aspire to be. Hence, practice skills to be able to develop a belief in your ability to do things that are a part of your work and personal life.

3. Avoid negative thoughts

Any activity that tends to build anxiety should be kept at bay. Let’s not forget that any negative feeling or any negative self-talk can limit your abilities by making you convinced that you cannot do something or it’s too difficult for you to handle. Any self-talk that is optimistic will aid you to overcome self-doubt, and take on new challenges too.

4. Monitor your progress

Break tasks and activities that you ought to do into smaller portions so that it is easier to approach them. Reinforce yourself at each step that you are able to fulfill the task, and always keep a tab on your progress. It will not only help you stay on course, but you will see more confidence in yourself as you make progress.

5. Increase your challenges

Create an hierarchy in which you progressively increase the complexity of tasks. It will make you successively see your progress and helps you feel more confident in being able to take the next, more complex task.
