Paan for hair growth

According to Dr Chause, “Paan, or betel leaves, also include potassium, nicotinic acid, vitamins A, B1, B2, and C, as well as other necessary vitamins and minerals. Additionally, it possesses an abundance of antimicrobial, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory qualities which can aid to promote hair health by halting bacterial growth and working as an ingredient that prevents hair loss.”

Here are 3 ways to use paan for hair growth:

1. Paan and coconut oil hair mask

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 paan leaves
  • 1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon of castor oil
  • Few drops of water

  • Start by grinding the leaves and make a smooth paste.
  • Add the pan paste, coconut oil, castor oil, and drops of water in a bowl.
  • Mix it well until it reaches a smooth consistency.
  • Later, apply this mask to the scalp, roots, and length of your hair.
  • Give a gentle massage for 5 minutes.
  • Keep this mask for 30 minutes and then wash it off with a shampoo and conditioner that you use on a regular basis.

2. Paan and sesame oil hair mask

Ingredients

  • 4-5 paan leaves
  • 1-2 tablespoons of sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
  • Few drops of water

Procedure

  • Grind the leaves with sesame and coconut oil. You can also add a few drops of water to make a smooth paste.
  • Once done, transfer this paste into a bowl. (You can also add honey in this as well but it’s optional).
  • Apply this mixture to the scalp properly.
  • Once the whole scalp area is covered with it, apply it along the length of your hair.
  • Leave it on for half an hour. You can also choose to steam your hair or better absorption.
  • Wash your hair. Follow it up with a mild shampoo and conditioner.

3. Paan and ghee hair mask

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 paan leaves
  • 1-2 tablespoons of ghee
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • Few drops of water

Procedure:

  • To prepare a paste, combine betel leaves, water, ghee, and honey in the grinder. That’s it, your hair mask is ready!
  • Then, apply this paste to your hair and massage it for a good 5-7 minutes.
  • Cover hair with a shower cap and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
  • Now, wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner.
