2. Coffee

Yes, you heard it right! Drinking an optimum amount of coffee can actually help you burn excess fat. Research published in the journal Food Science and Biotechnology found that caffeine present in coffee can increase the metabolic rate of your body, helping burn more calories and thus more fat.

They noted that healthy adults burned an average of 150 extra calories and obese adults burned an additional 79 calories. However, you should know that coffee also has some side effects, so you shouldn’t be consuming too much!

3. Eggs

Eggs have to be the most favourite breakfast food for all fitness freaks around the globe, because it is high in nutrition. There have been several studies that have been published in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition and Nutritional Research that have found that eating eggs for breakfast reduces hunger by promoting the feeling of fullness.

If you’ve been using apple cider vinegar, as part of your hair care regime, then it’s time to add it to your diet as well. An animal study published in the journal Critical Reviews in Food Science and Nutrition noted that the acetic acid present in apple cider vinegar increases the fat burning process in your body, thereby reducing the stored fat.

In a study published in the journal Bioscience, Biotechnology, and Biochemistry, participants were given two tablespoons of vinegar in their regular diet for a period of 12 weeks. At the end of the period, the participants experienced a 0.9% reduction in body fat.

6. Olive Oil

Olive oil is one of the healthiest for a reason. A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that this oil lowers triglycerides, increases HDL cholesterol and stimulates the release of GLP-1 in your body. These are some of the hormones that help to keep you satiated for longer periods.

Moreover, many other studies published in different journals have also shown that olive oil can boost the metabolic rate, thereby promoting fat loss in your body. You can easily incorporate olive oil into your diet by drizzling it over salads, or using it to cook your food.
