In her recent Instagram post, she writes, “Another stellar Indian superfood! An easy snacking option. Zip lock it and keep it in your purse, briefcase, car or drawer for when a food emergency arises.”
Makhanas are often confused with lotus seeds, but they are very different. Pooja adds, “Home roasted ones are better than the commercially flavoured ones as those may have a lot of added fats (that’s why the masala sticks to it).”
