Tea is the beloved beverage of most people across the globe. After all, it can be made in a variety of ways, with or without milk. It is a fairly flexible beverage that encompasses everyone’s taste and comforts you like no other! Apart from its taste and flavour, it is extremely beneficial for health, but it all depends on the ingredients you use to brew your tea. As per a study titled ‘Tea and Health: Studies in Humans’ published on PubMed Central, tea can have a positive impact on our immunity, which means you can prevent or fight several diseases with ease!

Some more ingredients, and you can make your cup not just comforting but also full of health.

Here are four teas we’d love for you to try:

1. Ginger and honey
We all know both ginger and honey boast antibacterial properties, which can keep infections at bay. In fact, most people swear by this concoction when they suffer from a cold. A study published in the International Journal of Preventive Medicine is testament to this fact. It says, “Ginger can treat a wide range of diseases via immunonutrition and anti-inflammatory responses.”

Honey, on the other hand, is extremely soothing for your body. As per a study titled ‘Honey and Health: A Review of Recent Clinical Research’ published on PubMed Central, honey has been proven to induce an immune response, in case of certain diseases.

A classic combination of these two ingredients will help you prevent and tackle any illness that’s residing in your body! All you need to do is boil one inch of ginger in water along with tea leaves, and add honey to it. Sip it once a day, preferably on an empty stomach, for strong immunity.

2. Tulsi
Several people nurture the tulsi plant at home, and for others, it is an integral part of battling cold and other infections in winter. Well, there’s a good reason for it. Tulsi has antibacterial and antioxidant properties that don’t just work in fighting infections, but can also mitigate the harm caused to your body by free radicals. That’s why including tulsi in your tea can boost your immunity and keep illnesses at bay!

Just add a few sprigs of tulsi to your milk tea. Alternatively, you can also boil tulsi with tea leaves, minus the milk. Both are equally potent and contain immunity-boosting properties.

3. Lemon and pepper
Both these ingredients are rich in vitamin C, which means your immune system will have a party! Moreover, black pepper boasts anti-inflammatory properties, which can help to tackle infections and soothe your body. Use both these ingredients to keep infections at bay.
