Most parents who are short give up on the idea that their kid will ever have a good height. More often than not, they forget that a proper diet and an active lifestyle can help to make their kids tall. Yes, there’s an entire range of foods that can increase the height in kids.
According to a study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, there is a direct correlation between the diet of a child and his/her height. Not just that, but another study published in the Public Health Nutrition suggests that consumption of milk, chicken, and other animal-based foods is the best way to make your kids taller.
Do you know why your kid’s height is not up to the mark? It’s because they lack essential nutrition in their food. A balanced diet is something that they need and you must ensure that it’s a wholesome one. Feed them in regular intervals, as kids are way more active than adults.
1. Milk
We know that it’s a huge task for every mother, but milk is one of the most wholesome foods that your kids require to grow well. It contains some of the most essential nutrients that will help your kid gain height fast. Not just that, it will also help develop your kid’s bones as well as make their muscles stronger and sharper.
2. Eggs
Remember that good old phrase, “Sunday ho ya Monday, roz khao ande”? Well, it’s not just true for you, but for your kid too. Eggs are rich in protein, calcium, vitamin B12, and riboflavin, and some of these nutrients are really hard to find in other food sources. The best part is eggs are one of the most versatile foods, and you can make them in endless ways!
3. Soy
Soy is another good source of protein, fibre, and vitamins. Also, if you are vegetarian, it is the best alternative to eggs.
4. Bananas
We always underestimate the power of this humble fruit, but this is one fast food your kid needs the most. If s/he resists eating it as a whole, you can appease them with a glass of banana smoothie or shake. In this way, both milk and banana can be served to them without any issue.
5. Dry fruits
When they are growing up, kids need both energy and nutrition. What’s better than dry fruits that pack a punch in every way? Yes, nuts and seeds are a rich source of minerals, good fats, and amino acids. They are all essential to help your child grow.
So, just inculcate these foods to your diet and see your kids grow taller, stronger, and sharper.
