No, we’re not suggesting a breakfast menu but 4 food items that will energize your day and prepare you to conquer the world, ladies! First of all, that water bottle on your nightside is not for aesthetic purposes. It is for you to hydrate yourself before you step on the floor. A lot of times, we mistake dehydration for morning fatigue. Therefore, drinking water will banish that doubt.

In a chat with HealthShots, Kavita Devgan, a Delhi-based nutritionist and bestselling author, listed 4 things one must eat as a pre-breakfast snack for an instant energy boost.

“These 4 food items deliver energizing minerals, vitamins, multiple antioxidants, omega 3 and good fats, all conducive to stay energetic throughout the day.” says Devgan.

Here are 4 foods for energy you can have in the morning:

1. Pumpkin seeds

In recent years, pumpkin seeds or pepitas have been touted as a perfect healthy snack. And why shouldn’t they? From magnesium and copper to protein and zinc, pumpkin seeds offer it all. Not to forget, these seeds can bring down your sugar levels, due to their hypoglycemic properties. They are significantly high in tryptophan, an amino acid that makes serotonin, a happy hormone in your body. So, your morning may turn into a good one instantly as you munch on a spoonful of these!

2. Walnuts

As you fuel up for the day’s challenges, eating some walnuts is a hell yes! They are loaded with vitamin B6, thiamine, folic acid, phosphorus, magnesium and copper. So, they are made for an energy kick in the morning. Not to forget, they are diet-friendly and naturally gluten, sodium and cholesterol-free.
