Muesli is a breakfast cereal made from rolled oats, fruit and nuts. While muesli with milk is a conventional go-to cereal for breakfast, did you know that it can also be used to make delicious smoothies that are both nutritious and delicious?

¼ cup muesli
3 tbsp water
1 tbsp soaked chia seeds
1 small banana
1 cup milk
½ tsp powdered cinnamon
2-4 tbsp honey
Peanut butter (as a topping)
2 – 3 ice cubes
Step 1: A night before preparing the smoothie, place the muesli in a small bowl and cover it with 3 tablespoons of milk. Refrigerate the muesli overnight.
Step 2: Soak the chia seeds by placing them in a bowl with 4 tablespoons of water. Place it in the refrigerator overnight. This will make the water and seeds gelatinous.
Step 3: Scoop up the chia seeds and place them a blender.
Step 4: Add muesli, chopped banana, cinnamon powder and honey to the blender. Blend the mixture till a puree like consistency is formed.
Step 5: Crush ice cubes and add them to the blender. Blend the mixture and add peanut butter as a topping before you serve or drink the smoothie.
Chia seeds are low on calories and are loaded with antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids, thereby helping in managing weight and warding off heart ailments.
