Here’s what makes this peas and mint dip healthy

Not many people know it, but peas are immunity-boosting foods. Wondering how? Well, they are a great source of vitamins C and E, and also feature zinc and other antioxidants—all of which support a good immune system. Peas also contain a good amount of fibre which is great for your gut as well as your heart. Not to mention, peas are also fat free.

Mint on the other hand is a refreshing herb which also happens to be a great source of vitamin A.

Since, this dip barely uses any oil—it is also extremely low in calories. All in all, this dip is the perfect snack especially if you are watching your weight.

This is how you can make this healthy peas and mint dip
Ingredients: 

100 gms peas

20 mint leaves, finely chopped

1 garlic clove, crushed

1 to 2 tbsp olive oil (plus extra for serving)

Salt to taste

Juice of 1 small lemon

½ tsp chilli flakes (optional)

Preparation:
  1. Steam the peas until soft
  2. In the blender jar, add the mint leaves, steamed peas, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice and salt.
  3. Pulse until well combined and you get a smooth dip-like consistency.
  4. Drizzle with some olive oil and chilli flakes and serve.
