You see, to tingle your taste buds we have a simple recipe which is as healthy as it is scrumptious. The best part? You can whip this up in under 20 minutes–which is faster than the fastest pizza delivery! 

Wondering what this wonderful dish is? Well, please welcome the honey and tomato egg casserole. Before you start salivating, here’s everything you need to make this skillet of deliciousness. 


4 whole eggs

1 diced capsicum

1 diced onion

4-5 mushrooms, sliced 

2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

1 tomato, pureed

1 tbsp honey

1 tsp olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Heat a pan on medium heat. Now grease it with olive oil and sauté the chopped garlic for about a minute. 
  2. Now add onions, capsicum, and mushrooms and sauté them for 3 to 4 minutes. 
  3. Add pureed tomato, salt, honey, and a pinch of pepper. Combine it well and cover the mixture with a lid. Reduce the flame and let the vegetables cook for about 3 to 4 minutes. 
  4. Remove the lid and spread the veggies evenly on the pan. Now break in the eggs, one by one, on the veggie mixture. Ensure that the yolks don’t overlap.  
  5. Sprinkle some salt and pepper. Put the lid on again and let the eggs cook.  
  6. Serve it hot with toasted multigrain bread. You can also relish it with roti, parantha, or hot rice.
