Whether it is a happy ending to your meal or the need to lift up a dull mood, ice-cream makes for the perfect dessert for all occasions. Unfortunately, digging into those big tubs of comfort is less pleasure and more guilt because the number of calories it contains is directly proportional to how yummy it is.

Sooner than later, it will show up on your body in the form of weight gain. Does this mean you should give on ice-cream? Never. Instead, find a healthier way to prepare it and enjoy it without having to worry about the calories.

To give your sugar craving a healthier option, we’ve got you a low-cal fruit blast ice-cream. It is dairy-free as well which means that even the vegans can consume this goodness without any guilt.

Here’s everything you need for your fruit blast ice-cream:

Half cubed musk melon
Half cubed mango
4 to 5 strawberries
1 diced banana
Half diced apple
20 ml soy/almond milk
5 tablespoons of honey
1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
1 teaspoon of cardamom powder
Chopped dry fruits

Here’s how to prepare your healthy ice-cream:

1. Freeze all the cubed fruits, i.e. musk melon, mango, banana, apple, and strawberries, for 4 to 5 hours.
Tip: There is no hard and fast rule for fruits. You can add whatever you like. Just freeze them and make your own version.

2. Once they are properly frozen, put all the fruits in a blender and make a thick paste. Now add soy/almond milk, honey, cinnamon, and cardamom powder. Blend again.

3. Pour the mix in a bowl and freeze it again for an hour.

4. Once it’s frozen, garnish it with some finely chopped dry fruits.

This ice cream is a sheer novelty. There is no sugar, no preservatives, and you can eat it anytime you want without thinking twice about weight gain.

  1. Just wondering if it’s not easier to blend all the fruits first and then freeze it? Wouldn’t it be harder to blend them once they’re frozen? Am not an expert cook, so sometimes I miss the obvious.
