We usually tend to forget or forgo the most important things in our lives–just like having breakfast. A nourishing breakfast not only keeps you full all-day long but it helps you avoid unwanted binge sessions.

We understand that the luxury of sitting down calmly and grabbing a bite is something that might be lacking in your life. So, why don’t you try these delectable oats shake recipe which you can carry in a sipper and drink, anywhere anytime!

Let’s begin with what all ingredients you would require for this oats shake.

Quantity: 500 ml

Ingredients:
• 200 grams plain oats
• 2 tablespoon flax seeds (roasted)
• 2 tablespoon  pumpkin seeds
• 1 tablespoon sweetened cocoa powder
• 1 tablespoon peanut butter
• 1 banana
• 2 to 4 almonds and walnuts
• 400 ml toned milk (you can increase or decrease this quantity depending on the consistency of the shake you desire)

Preparation
1. Put all the solid ingredients in the mixer along with a little milk and create a paste.

2. Add milk at regular intervals and whisk the mixture three to four times or till you get a smooth consistency.

What makes this shake so healthy?
Oats: Rich in fibre and antioxidants, oats are a healthy choice for breakfast. They also help to lower cholesterol and improve blood sugar level.

Flax seeds: They are rich in protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and dietary fibre—all of which will help in keeping your heart health and blood pressure in check. Also, flax seeds are a rich source of lignans which some studies say can help reduce the risk of breast cancer.

Make your shake rich in vitamin B, zinc, iron, and magnesium by adding seeds.

Pumpkin seeds: They are the best natural source of magnesium and help in controlling blood pressure, reduce risk of heart disease, lead to healthier bones, and regulate blood sugar level.

Almonds: Healthy fats, fibre, protein, magnesium, and vitamin E—almonds have it all. They help in lowering blood sugar, reduce blood pressure, and lower cholesterol levels. Plus, they also reduce hunger and promote weight loss.

Walnuts: Apart from the known benefits, walnuts help in managing type 2 diabetes and gives you a healthy gut.

You can experiment as much as you want this recipe!
If you love berries or any other fruit for that matter, then you can add them too to this shake for added flavour. As berries are rich in antioxidants, they’ll make this breakfast drink more nutritious and berrilicious!
