A healthy breakfast should include a variety of nutrient-dense foods rich in fiber, protein, and healthy fat to start your day off on the right foot. How about an oats-based sweet treat?
When it comes to breakfast, oatmeal is forever a breakfast favorite and we’ve plenty of recipes to prove it! But if you’re bored of oats every day, you should definitely experiment. And what if we ask you to mix chocolate with oats to make a dessert? A vegan dessert that would be delicious and healthy! Isn’t your mouth watering? Ours too!
Bollywood fitness celebrity trainer Yasmin Karachiwala has shared her favourite recipe of choco-lava baked oats dessert. She recently took to Instagram to share the recipe with her followers and after looking at it, we can safely say that it is easy to make right from the comfort of your home. So you wanna try? Let’s share the recipe:
Ingredients
* 1/2 Banana (Mashed)
* 1/2 cup Oat Flour
* 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
* 1 tbsp desiccated Coconut
* 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
* Pinch of Salt
90 ml Almond Milk
Here’s how you can make your very own chocolate lava baked oats:
Step 1: For Chocolate Lava Filling; mix 1/3 rd cup coconut yoghurt + cocoa powder (as per your liking).
Step 2: Heat oven to 180 C while you prepare the mixture to bake.
Step 3: In a bowl add mashed banana, oat flour, maple syrup, desiccated coconut, pinch salt, baking powder and almond milk.
Step 4: Stir the mixture well leaving minimum to no lumps.
Step 5: Transfer 3/4 batter to a baking bowl, add chocolate lava filling, cover with remaining batter.
Step 6: Bake for 20-25 minutes.
“Try this is super easy and simple to bake with minimal ingredients that you can easily find in your kitchen,” says Karachiwala.
