Winters are synonymous with comfort food. The joy of sipping on a bowlful of piping hot soup in winters is above all. Oh, and brownie points if you are all curled up in a blanket.

If just a mere mention of it got you drooling for something comforting like this, how about trying your hands at the same? Well, let us tell you that we aren’t referring here to the plain regular tomato or hot and sour soup variants.

It’s time to add some nutrition and variety to your already existing soup menu. Beat the chills with hot and simmering mushroom and coconut shorba.

The popularity of shorba among foodies in India is greatly celebrated during the winter season.

A type of hot soup or stew majorly savored in south and central Asia—traditionally—shorba is prepared with meat, which is cooked in boiling water. But today, we’ve got something for all the vegetarians out there.
