Amla offers a plethora of additional health advantages. Due to its digestive and astringent characteristics, amla, also known as Indian Gooseberry, has long been used in Indian medicine. Packed with Vitamin C, it is a wonderful immune system booster for those who are sick with a cold since it has a tendency to reduce flu-like symptoms. It is also fantastic for your hair since it keeps away grey hair!  

Amla can be eaten in raw or dried form, but many people also consume it as a juice! Yes, amla juice is a healthy beverage. The market may be flooded with packaged varieties, but nothing like a fresh, homemade version. Isn’t it?

So, let’s find out how to make amla juice! 

Here’s how you can make it:

Prep Time: 25-30 minutes
Cook time: 5 minutes
Taste: Mild

Ingredients:

  • Amla (Indian gooseberry): Seeded and chopped, roughly 8
  • Ginger: Roughly chopped, 2 inches
  • Cumin seeds: 4 teaspoons

Recipe:

  1. Grate or finely chop amla (Indian gooseberries) to prepare amla juice. Throw away the seeds.
  2. Now, combine the grated or chopped amla with water and mix until a smooth paste forms. Make a good strain of it.
  3. Add ginger, cumin seeds, and blend once more.
  4. Place some ice cubes in a glass with the blended amla juice and serve.

Tips for making amla juice

Making homemade amla juice is best done with fresh amla. Make sure to soak amla in salted water to remove any harmful residue.
