Shilpa Shetty Kundra is all game when it comes to home remedies. From skin to cleansing her gut, she always prefers DIY recipes that are easy, effective, and come with zero side effects. The best part? She shares her remedies on Instagram for her fans all the time. This time around she spoke about something we all deal with: acidity and other gut related issues. For this, the lovely lady offers a solution through the “CCF” drink. 

Now you must be wondering what this acronym is all about. Well, CCF stands for Carom-Cumin-Fennel drink. Carom is basically ajwain which is great for your gut when you are all gassy. Cumin or jeera is a fantastic option if you’re experiencing  stomach pain or want to lose weight. Jeera is known to improve the digestive process which further leads to better metabolism.

But the real winner in this drink a-la Shilpa Shetty is fennel or saunf. Fennel is known for its anti-inflammatory properties. Which also means that if period cramps haunt you every month, then this tea will also help you in dealing with them. Great news right?

Another brilliant thing about this CCF drink is that it is a great way to detox your body as it helps you re-alkalise. That’s why Mrs Kundra is going gaga about it.

Here’s the recipe for Shilpa Shetty’s CCF drink

In her latest Insta post, Shilpa suggests that this CCF drink is the ultimate way to cleanse your gut.

She writes:

“I swear by this concoction! All you have to do is lightly roast equal parts of all three seeds, grind them to a fine powder, and store it in an airtight container. To consume it, add a teaspoon of this mixture to a glass water with a dash of lemon in it. It’s beneficial and effective!”

She also says that you should drink this concoction on a daily basis if you really want to reap its benefits.

So go by Shilpa’s rule book and sip on this CCF drink first thing in the morning and to avoid gastric distress of any kind. Because a healthy gut means a healthy you!
