It’s excellent for those looking to lose weight but should be avoided when you have a cold, cough, sinus, or fever symptoms, as ash gourd is high in water content and has a cooling effect on the body.
Celery has long been valued in Ayurveda for its ability to detoxify the body, particularly the kidneys and liver. It contains compounds such as coumarins, flavonoids, and antioxidants that support detoxification process. “It has anti-inflammatory health benefits, which help reduce inflammation and pain in the body. Additionally, it helps in weight loss, by helping clear undigested waste from your digestive tract and intestines,” explains Jandga. Not many people know this but celery juice can also help reduce UTIs and prevent infections.
Cucumber is renowned for its cooling and hydrating properties in Ayurveda. “Its high water content, along with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, makes it an effective detoxifying agent,” adds Jandga. Cucumber juice acts as a natural diuretic, promoting the elimination of toxins through urine. It also helps in reducing inflammation and balancing excess Pitta dosha. Drinking cucumber juice regularly is believed to cleanse the kidneys, liver, and digestive tract, supporting overall detoxification.
