Certain fast foods are healthy. Well, you might think we’ve gone crazy, but hear us out. Most often, these foods get a bad rap for being high in calories, salt and fat. But do you exactly know what fast food is?

Well, for most people, fast food scores high on convenience, and is considered low on nutritional value. But that’s not true in this case! Don’t believe us? Have a look at what Dr KK Aggarwal has to say.

Recently Dr Aggarwal shared a video on Facebook, where he has tried to clear the confusion. He says, “Fast food is the best food to stay fit and build immunity during this pandemic.’ The doctor explains the difference between fast food and junk food, so that you can eat the former without any guilt.

So, here are the seven best fast foods that you can eat anytime:

1. Banana

Yes, we love to go bananas! That’s because this fruit is loaded with several health benefits that will make you a fan. It is a fibrous, magnesium rich food that can improve heart health like no other!

As per research published by the Harvard School of Public Health, consuming bananas can help ease tension in blood vessel walls, thereby lowering the risk of both cardiovascular diseases and coronary heart diseases. Besides, it has relatively few calories that can accelerate weight loss, improve digestion, fix sleep routines as well as your mood.

2. Roasted chana

Roasted chana is one of the healthiest fast foods that you can consume. This snack is fibre-rich and high in protein content; it helps to keep you full for longer, and also regulates digestion in your body. It also prevents cravings, helping you avoid those excess calories.

3. Almonds

If you love snacking, then there’s nothing better than almonds. The dry fruit is a healthy solution that doesn’t just curb your hunger pangs, but also helps to sharpen your memory.

In this case, a study published in the International Journal of Pharmacology found that soaked almonds can improve brain function and boost memory. And this is because almonds are rich in vitamin E, which is known to enhance brain function.

4. Apple

They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away. The fruit is loaded with a number of vitamins and nutritional benefits that help to clean the system, boost immunity, enhance hunger and give you glowing skin. Apples are a storehouse of antioxidants and are rich in vitamin C, potassium, polyphenols, and flavonoids.

In fact, according to a study published by the Department of Nutrition, Harvard School of Public Health, consumption of whole fruits such as apples is associated with a lower risk of type 2 diabetes.

5. Green leafy vegetable salads

Green leafy vegetables like spinach, lettuce, fennel, radishes, and parsley are nitrate-rich veggies. According to research by the Edith Cowan University (ECU), these vegetables can significantly reduce the risk of heart disease and lower blood pressure. Thereby, you can prepare your salad at home to go healthy.

So, add these healthy fast foods to your diet today.
